With your explicit permission, we may collect and use information about your precise location to send to your emergency contacts when a seizure or emergency alert is triggered. This is essential for the core functionality of the emergency response feature.

1.4 Device and Usage Data

We may collect information that your device sends whenever you use our App, such as device model, operating system, and crash reports.

2. How the Data is Used

We use the collected data for various purposes:

• App Functionality: To provide seizure monitoring, health data visualization, and emergency alerting.
• Emergency Alerts: To notify your designated emergency contacts with your location and health status during a detected event.
• Authentication: To verify your identity via email or phone OTP.
• Synchronization: To securely sync your settings and records across your devices using Supabase.
• Improvement: To monitor usage patterns and improve the App's performance and reliability.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We share your data with the following third-party service providers:

• Supabase: Used as our backend for secure data storage and authentication.
• Apple HealthKit: We read and write data to Apple HealthKit as per your permissions.

In the event of an emergency alert, your precise location and relevant health data are shared with the Emergency Contacts you have explicitly added to the App.

4. Data Storage and Protection

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard practices, including encryption for all data transmitted to and from our backend (Supabase) using SSL/TLS. We implement strict access controls to ensure that only authorized services can access your data.

5. User Rights

You have the right to access, update, or request the deletion of your data at any time. You can view your profile and records within the App, and update your emergency contacts. You can also revoke permissions for HealthKit or Location services through your iOS device settings.

6. Medical Disclaimer

SeizCare is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition, including epilepsy.

The app is intended only to log and track seizure-related information, provide general insights, and send emergency alerts to selected contacts. Any information shown (including health data and trends) is for informational and support purposes only, not medical advice.
